Special Sunday: Dismantle Sukkah and Craft for NICU babies
Today we will gather at 10 AM to work on two important projects:
1. take down the sukkah for the season. Wear sensible shoes! The sukkah comes down much more easily than it goes up, and we store it away downstairs until next year. May we all be well to sit in the sukkah again.
2. we will sew flannel hearts for premature babies in the NICU, for Project Sweet Peas. The hearts are tucked into the parents’ shirts, and then placed with the infant in the incubator, so that the babies can smell the parents, for comfort. You need NOT know how to sew–most of the job is tracing, cutting and ironing. Let Shari know if you are coming and if you know how to sew on a machine. Many hands make light work!
PLEASE NOTE: both of these activities require you to come downstairs, either via the interior staircase or the exterior steps. Please write with any questions. Come see how great our downstairs is now!

Can’t come? Let us know if you want to purchase some 100% cotton flannel for this project.
Bring your iron, your good scissors and your pinking shears if you have ’em. Shari will bring 2 sewing machines, 2 irons, and lots of cutting devices, so we are all set.
