Join us as we zoom with Seth Rogovoy, famous author, blogger and speaker, as we learn about Klezmer music, from shtetl days to today’s Klezmatics.

‘The Essential Klezmer’. Join Seth Rogovoy, author of the best-selling, Essential Klezmer: A Music Lover’s Guide to Jewish Roots and Soul Music, and artistic director of Yidstock: The Festival of New Yiddish Music, (these titles should be in italics or underlined) as he takes us on a journey tracing Klezmer’s evolution from Old World shtetls to New World nightclubs. Through the sounds and shapes of Klezmer, we’ll meet many if the great heroes who helped transform Eastern European Yiddish wedding music into the vital form of world music it is today.
