Public Reading and Q&A with the Velveteen Rabbi
Join us for a public reading and Q&A with our Scholar in Residence, Rabbi Rachel Barenblat. Known as “The Velveteen Rabbi,” Rabbi Rachel will read from several of her published works, including her critically acclaimed 70 Faces and Waiting to Unfold. Combining spiritual themes and explorations of womanhood, family, nature, travel and modern life, Rabbi Rachel’s poetry is sure to open the heart, spark the soul and nourish the mind.
Rabbi Rachel was ordained by ALEPH (Renewal) and holds an MFA in writing from Bennington. Author of seven poetry collections on diverse themes of family, spirituality and womanhood, since 2003 Rabbi Rachel has blogged as The Velveteen Rabbi, named by Time Magazine as one of the 25 best Internet sites.
