Yom Kippur: Day of Holiness

Join Rabbi Shohama, Rabbi David and Your Band by the Sea for Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement – the holiest day of the Jewish year. Community-led Shabbat with Cap’n Bob

On Friday, October 6th, at 7:30 pm, we will celebrate Shabbat accordionly (with Cap'n Bob in the lead). Bring your dancing shoes and voices as we usher in the third Shabbat of Tishrei 5778. And don't forget Sunday eve's Potluck Dinner for Sukkot (from 6 to 8 pm). In sadness and love, Temple Beth El of City Island announces the death of Roslyn Lichtman (Rachel bat Abraham Binyanim v'Sima), beloved mother of Leslie Lichtman-Berland and mother-in-law of Bill Berland.  Roslyn died Saturday after an illness. The funeral will be 1:30pm on Tuesday, October 24, at Beth Israel Cemetery (Woodbridge, New Jersey).  Rabbi Eva Sax-Bolder will officiate. Angels Among Us – Jewish Angelology, Session 1
