Starting with the lighting of the menorah in Hawkins Park on City Island on Wednesday, December 25, Temple Beth-El of City Island joyously celebrated Hanukkah, including with a full day of celebrations on Sunday, December 29.

On December 29, following the movie, Keeping Up With The Steins, at Cinema on the Sound, there was the “battle of the latkes!” at Temple Beth-El, where we pondered “sour cream versus applesauce” and enjoyed music and dreidels.

We made our way back to Hawkins Park to light the menorah on that fifth night of Hanukkah, and then enjoyed a Holiday Evening Celebration at Kaleidoscope Gallery, hosted by Paul Klein.
