Community Gratitude Message from R. Shohama
Dear Congregation, family, and friends:
I am still glowing from all the love and joy you showed me at the Tribute Luncheon and in the Memory and Blessing Book. There is no way to thank you adequately for your generosity of gifts and of appreciation. I love you so much, and leaving was not easy.
You are the congregation I always dreamed of, and with God’s blessing we made that dream come true.
My full heart and commitment to coming back from time to time as guest Rabbi Emerita, and to holding you in my prayers, is what I can offer.
God willing, Alan and I will be local much of the coming summer through Yom Kippur. We have again rented the teeny apartment in Larchmont, not far from City Island, where we were staying the past few months,.
I see beautiful signs of new growth under Rabbi David, the Board of Trustees, and our congregants and friends, and bless those to continue. If you were part of the Luncheon and not yet a member, do join! Our strength is in hearts and souls!
From my heart to yours, always,
Rabbi Shohama
